ADDICKS RESERVOIR

HOUSTON Texas - Houses and roads west of Houston are already taking water after morning rising from the rising waters in the Addicks and Barker reservoirs.

The Army Engineers Corps began a controlled release of reservoirs around 1 am, to protect the city from further flooding.

Bear Creek Village, near the Addicks reservoir, began to see a gradual increase in flood water levels around 4 am, said Jeff Lindner, with Harris County Flood Control District.
